  • The Architects of Air are a British company that make large-scale inflatable art installations.

  • These installations incorporate light, color, architectural elements, and geometry.

  • Spaces can be used for site-specific performances as well.

  • And the Creative City Project provides curriculum for you.


Planning your visit

  • Dr Phillips Center, Seneff Plaza

  • 10 days in October, Saturday, October 18 through Sunday, October 27.

  • $7 per student, chaperones are free.

  • The immersive photo installation, “The Worlds of Corkcicle” will be adjacent to the AoA installation on Seneff Plaza. An additional bonus experience included in your visit.

3D Track

  • Students have the opportunity to explore three-dimensional art first hand.

  • Curriculum covering topics like materials, shape, scale, and the history of 3D art. 

  • Participate in a collective art installation that will take shape over the duration of the installation.


2D Track

  • Students have the opportunity to explore shape, color, and perspective as they sketch inside and or outside the installation during their visit.

  • Participate in a collective art installation that will take shape over the duration of the installation.

Photography Track

  • Your students will be excited about the process of creating amazing photos as they explore the use of natural light, color, and interesting spaces.

  • Before your students visit, we provide you with curriculum to support your visit.

  • Your field trip visit with your photography students uniquely focuses on architectural and portrait photography.


Performing Arts Track

  • Your students will be able to create and perform within the space itself.

  • This is an opportunity to explore how dance, singing, or instrumental music is affected by site-specific performance locations.

  • Before your students visit, we provide you with curriculum to support your visit.

Videography Track

  • Your students will create video content on their visit to the Architects of Air installation.

  • This content can center around broadcast journalism or multimedia art.

"Dear Citizen O" was a large post office installation. Guests were invited to write a letter, drop it in the mail slot, and then take a letter written by another guest from one of the mailboxes.
