- This Friday, Saturday, & Sunday is Winter Park Weekend of the Arts. Downtown Winter Park will serve as the location for family-friendly art activities. The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art is free all three days and Bach Festival Society of Winter Park presents Voctave: Orchestral Debut.

- Also on Friday, Saturday, & Sunday, Bailamos! Presented by Orlando Ballet, a night of latin dance, at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.

- Saturday at The Mennello Museum of American ArtIndie-Folkfest hosts vendors, food, and, of course, lots of folk music.

- Sunday, 2019 Dragon Parade Lunar New Year Festival happens in Mills50, starting with a parade at 11.

Orlando Shakes opens the classic, Hamlet, this Wednesday.

- Friday, Snap! Orlando opens Snap! Space presents: 'Duane Michals: The Portraitist', featuring more than 125 portraits from his 60-year career.

- Also this Friday, award-winning artist Donna Dowless opens the 15th Annual Heart & Soul exhibition at Grand Bohemian Gallery.

- Saturday is SAM FLAX Wall Project 2019. The Orlando art supply store gives their walls to the city's artists. There will be food and music to celebrate Sam Flax of Orlando's new look.

- See one of the country's most popular jazz bands this Friday at the Flying Horse Big Band Concert.

- Monday, Central Florida Vocal Arts opens A Tale of Two Cities, the musical, based on Charles Dickens's classic novel.

- Sunday, Bach Festival Society of Winter Park presents Spiritual Spaces: A Musical Retreat.

- Sunday, see Maitland Stage Band Free Concert at Art & History Museums - Maitland.

- Sunday, guitarist Bill Mize performs at Timucua Arts Foundation.

- Saturday, orchestra and sketch comedy collide at The Second City Guide To The Symphony with Colin Mochrie from Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra.

- Sunday, Florida Symphony Youth Orchestras hosts FSYO Presents: Spring Classics Concert at Edgewater High School.

- This Friday, The Mennello Museum of American Art unveals their new exhibit "The Unbridled Paintings of Lawrence H. Lebduska." Come see the American folk artist's dreamlands and invented gardens.

- Experience another new exhibition at Orlando Museum of Art when "Louis Dewis: A Belgian Post-Impressionist" opens this Friday. Over 70 of the artist's paintings will be on display, many of which were lost for years.

- Tuesday night, Orlando Ballet Company and School presents Uncorked at The Abbey, an up-close-and-personal performance with the dance company.

- Thursday, hear and discuss classical music at Bach Festival Society of Winter Park's Insights & Sounds: Vivaldi’s Juditha Triumphans.

2019 is already proving to be an eventful year for Orlando's creative communities. Here's what's happening 'This Week In Art'.

- Art and technology combine at Otronicon. Stop by Orlando Science Center and explore the interactive and creative STEM exhibits, Friday through Monday.

- Also at the Science Center, adults 21+ can experience Otronicon in a different way at Adults-Only Science Night Live Featuring Otronicon.

- Saturday, Orlando Repertory Theatre hosts Pip Squeak: An Anti-Bullying Magic Show.

- Opening Friday and running through Feb. 10, Hand to God is an adult comedy about a not-so-nice puppet. Go see it at Mad Cow Theatre.

- Finally, Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra presents their take on the Argentinian style of music, Tango!, this Saturday at Bob Carr Theater.

Orlando Shakes opens A Doll's House, Part 2 this Wednesday, running through February 3. The play is a sequel to the classic A Doll's House, happening concurrently at Central Florida Community Arts.

- Theatre nerds rejoice! This weekend, Orlando Fringe hosts the third-annual Orlando Fringe Winter MIni-Fest. Take a look at their Events Page for a list of all the performances involved.

- See some local music! Timucua Arts Foundation has two shows happening this week : Duo Beaux Arts Piano & Monroe Crossing.

2019 is looking to be a bright year for the Orlando arts community! Here's what's happening 'This Week In Art.'

- A NYE for the whole family, Noon Year's Eve Celebration, is this Monday at the Orlando Science Center. There will be lights, activities, and even a ball drop!

Central Florida Community Arts and Orlando Shakes are teaming up for A Doll's House & A Doll's House, Part 2. The original is a timeless play from the 1800s with Part 2 being a modern sequel to the original. The two are running concurrently, starting January 2.

- This Saturday, Valencia College's President takes the Garden Theatre stage at Sandy Shugart in Concert. Come see Sandy perform folk-influenced, acoustic coffeehouse-style music and share personal stories.

Blue Bamboo Center For The Arts is Orlando's hub for some of the best jazz in the country. Here's two happening this week to get you into their world : Wednesday is Jeff Rupert Quartet at Blue Bamboo Center for the Arts and Sunday is Central Florida Jazz Society Presents Scott Silbert.

- This weekend, The Mystery of Edwin Drood opens at Mad Cow TheatreOrlando Shakes presents A Christmas Carol, and Central Florida Community Arts hosts On Golden Pond.

- Two FREE holiday concerts : Brass Band of Central Florida at the 21st Annual Holiday Craft Fair and Florida Symphony Youth Orchestras play News 6 Holiday Concert at Lake Eola.

An astrological orchestra, a three-story photo experience, a Halloween classic, and an augmented reality tour through Downtown Orlando. It's "This Week In Art."

Snap! Orlando has been working on an AR app that allows you to walk the streets of Downtown Orlando and see 3D renderings of art on your phone. It debuts at City Unseen - A New [AR]t Experience : Opening nightis this Friday with City Unseen : Guided tour happening on Saturday.

- The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra will take their audience on astrological journey Saturday at The Planets. This is a unique orchestral experience that anyone can enjoy.

- IMMERSE 2018 may be over, but The Worlds of Corkcicle and The Giant Ball Pit are open every Friday & Saturday through November 10.

- Dress up and be prepared for flying rice, The Rocky Horror Picture Show Experience happens this Wednesday at the Garden Theatre.

IMMERSE 2018 has come and gone, but don't fret because Orlando has the best artistic events throughout the year. It's "This Week In Art," where we break down what's happening in Orlando over the next seven days.

- This Wednesday at Mad Cow Theatre, see four women from very different walks of life get together in the comedic play, Rapture, Blister, Burn.

- IMMERSE 2018 may be over, but two of our large installations are open every Friday & Saturday through November 10. Play in our 3,200 sq ft ball pit and wander around our three-story photo installation "The Worlds of CORKCICLE.

- This weekend, the Central Florida Community Arts Orchestra play the works of Micheal Jackson, Led Zepplin, Tchaikovsky and more as a part of Our Greatest Hits at Calvary Assembly in Winter Park.

- Lastly, hear an amazing jazz/funk/R&B hybrid this Saturday at The Conglomerate at Blue Bamboo Center For The Arts.

- This Friday and Saturday, 1,000+ artists take over downtown for Immerse 2018 from the Creative City Project! Performances. Installations. Projections. The Worlds of CORKCICLE. A 3,200 sq ft ball pit. And SO SO much more!

- Thursday, Downtown Arts District Orlando presents 9th Annual Dia De Los Muertos & Monster Factory Event. It showcases Day of the Dead and Halloween inspired art from artists all over the country.

- Sunday is the Florida Symphony Youth Orchestras 62nd Season Opener. See four orchestras composed of incredibly talented young people rock Bob Carr Theater.
